USEFUL INFORMATION

File submission guide

Following these requirements keeps your file fast and error-free to print.

File format

Please supply print-ready artwork as a composite PDF, one page per page, with bleed and non-bleed elements as described below.

Multi-page publications

For multi-page publications, please save the pages in consecutive order — NOT as spreads and NOT imposed.

Fonts and images

Please embed fonts or convert them to outlines. Supply images at 300 dpi resolution in CMYK colour mode; please do not embed a colour profile in the file.

Colours

For four-colour (CMYK) printing, please convert any spot colours present in the artwork to CMYK. We can only guarantee colour accuracy based on a digital proof we produce from the file you send us.

Marking UV varnish and die-cutting

For UV varnish or a die-cut form, please set these layers as a spot colour on a separate colour separation. If the die-cut is supplied as a separate file, its cut lines must be positioned identically to the cut lines used in the artwork.

Crop, registration and other marks

Please add crop marks and registration marks to the pages, and where needed, fold, score and perforation marks.

Bleed and safe area

If an image, graphic, background tint, panel, etc. extends to the edge of the page, please allow 3 or 5 mm of bleed; keep live text at least 3 mm from the trim edge.

Unsure about file preparation?

Send us the artwork and we will check printability. Response time: 24–48 hours.
